| Friday, October 27, 2006 I know I know. I am guilty of not updating my blog. But you have to understand, it was the last week of training and I had to cram as many activities as I could in it !! I finally went to the Extreme Park at Sunway near my house. I went for paintballing and go-karting. Both games are pretty expensive but immensely fun when you are playing with friends. I loved the go-karting more than the paintballing but they were both definitely fun. With whom ? Yes...with the HK people againlar.... Later on, we had lunch at Asiacafe where they were bowled over by the amount of food there, before adjourning for 3 hours of pool. Then we rushed back to the hotel where we took a shower and then went for seafood in PJ. We ordered too much food..... :( There was lobster noodles, 2 types of crabs, 3 fishes, prawns, sotong......it was quite crazy...we almost burst. Monday, we visited the SS2 night market. Quite interesting, though electricity was cut to the hawker centre while we were there. It was funny, since the electricity was cut on Friday night while we were at karaoke too, so it is no wonder some people have bad impressions of our electricity capabilities. Earlier that day, we had the cash management module. The trainer was a global head of some department, meaning he could not teach. Added to the fact that he was young, and that there was no exam, meant that people were pretty laidback for this. In fact, at one point, sweets were flying around the room ala food fight. Pretty funny. Then we had a 2 day course on making presentations on Wednesday and Thursday. I went on Wednesday, and made one of the best presentations I have made, on the spot, since SAM I think. Basically we had to give a 3 minute presentation. The title had to be "My Favourite...". Anyway, the trainer was irritating and I did not like him one bit since he was the authoritarion sort. So I came up with My Favourite Dessert since at break time we were eating doughnuts. So I presented on Doughnuts. The result was very good, even if I do say so myself since I also included a poem on doughnuts which I wrote myself. Anyway, the class was impressed, (I could tell....and it felt really good..it was just like at SAM, when the class discovered that I could do really funny and good presentations and there were oohs and aahs.....). Anyway I felt really really good about that speech. But the doggone trainer had to piss me off by saying I did not follow the structure he gave exactly. But then when the next guy presented, he said that the guy was bogged down and not spontaneous enough since he totally followed the structure !!!!! Later that night, 3 of the GTO GAs came for dinner with all the HKGAs. We went to some steamboat restaurant where the bill came up to more than a thousand but more than half was spent on beer. >_<"" GAWil was a bit sick from the alcohol so I brought him and GATracy for some supper. Then there was some mahjong and poker (as there was EVERY night...) before bed. I decided not to go for class on Thursday since it was such a sucky class. Anyway I had already presented so there was not much point for me to go. I woke up at lunchtime and when I went down for lunch some of my classmates told me that the trainer really missed me and kept on referring to my speech and what was good about it. I felt good again. Yes I realise I am easily flattered...... After walking around KLCC that evening, we had some Korean food at Crowne Plaza which was quite good. Then it was back to the room for some rest before clubbing...since many people would be leaving on Saturday. So sad. Anyway it was my first time at Zouk. I must say I had quite a good time, since we were up at the VIP lounge. No paying of cover charge...( I think from now on, I shall adopt a no cover charge stance...just like a no yearly fee for credit cards...where I shall only go if I do not have to pay cover charge). As I was saying.. it was fun and it was the first time I have been clubbing this year.....brings back good memories of university clubbing except that now everyone is adult and so more things 'happen'. The main point is that at 3 am...which is about 2 hours ago...(yes it is 5 am now) there was a fight. A big fight, with chairs and blood splashing all over. I have blood on my shoe and hand. GAVincent had big blood spots all over his shirt !!!! And almost everyone had blood on the shoe.... Quite crazy. So that spoiled a very nice night. I realise this is a very long post but I had to make up for the last week !! Perhaps I should get some sleep. Though I do know what I am thinking about... I think I do love you. Even though I know you will never read this, I though I should say it somewhere. Even though I know we live very far apart, and it will be 8 months before we can meet again...I just thought I should write it down...so I remember..... and that was the sweetest SMS I have ever received. I hope you do not forget me. |
