Team presentation was the method of assessment. Arghhh. Not because I dislike presentations, but just because I dislike teams which are not as competent. Well I should not really complain because my team could have been much much worse. As it was, it was alright because they took all my suggestions and made a passable effort. Oh well, I will just have to better on the next 4 tests.

Went to the Eye on Malaysia on Friday night. It was great ! Good view, the ride was also not too expensive. Definitely something fun. And I suppose it was one of my original goals although not ideally accomplished, it was accomplished nonetheless. Life must go on.

Meanwhile...if we go to karaoke tonight, it will be the fourth time this week.

Training is boring boring boring.

Slept last night actually at 10 pm at night to wake up at 8.30 am. So much sleep and yet so sleepy during training....

Been thinking a lot about money these few days and am wondering why ? Perhaps I really should be more careful with my spending...

After my massage on Sunday, I have more aches in my body than ever !! I am wondering if this is my body's way of telling me that I should go for more massages or is this the masseuse's way of making me go back !! I seriously ache all over my chest and back and arms. And I have bruises on my legs and arms. What is happening ? I think someone is just beating me up in my sleep.

It could be myself. LOL. For getting all excited about Singapore and then getting all those disappointments. Perhaps it really is true that if your goal/expectations are lower, there are lower chances for you to be disappointed. Sigh.

Well anyway, so my focus is now switched back to career again. Which, is not so very interesting.

Also should start planning for my Melbourne trip. Procrastinating...

And just realised that I have been to karaoke twice since back from Singapore. Twice in 3 days !

.........Some of the best things in life never change..................

In the words of one my colleagues.. "I am BEKKKKKKKK!!"

I am back from Singapore. Land of big disappointments.

Sorry to anyone who might feel insulted.

First the good things. Nightspots are FANTASTIC in Singapore. Swissotel, Clarke Quay, Holland Village, Cafe Del Mar, Geylang, Esplanade.....fantastic. Had Max Brenner's too. Mini golf at Sentosa was also really good.

Bad. Orchard Road = Huge disappointment for maniac shoppers. Too many people, not enough great sales. There is not a lot to be saved at the prices and discounts offered. Sentosa, other than the mini golf and Cafe Del Mar, equals theme park for kiddies. No MRT near the hotel. Boo. Also, not enough taxis on the road. Boo. Also, weather was sunny. TOO SUNNY in fact that I just wanted to get out of the sun and into any air conditioned places. It was so freaking hot, an ice cube would have lasted 10 seconds on the sidewalk.

Yea well. So had a whole week of extremely boring (I found it boring anyway) team building and other soft skill building classes. Seriously boring. And that was the whole week pretty much. Spent most of my money on the great food and drinks at the great places to eat and play. That was about it. Did not come home with any physical booty at all. Oh well. Oooh ! And I met CCYBear and had a really long talk about work and banking and stuff. That was fun.

But pretty much it. Singapore is not as much it is hyped to be. I guess unless you just have loads of money in which case you just shop and drink and party at night.

RoxBear, BV is apparently not cheaper than in HK. Also, the gossip that you wanted ? Well, I suppose the ending is not happy. I think she wanted a break from all relationships.....

So how is everyone's exams coming along ? Never mind, it will be over soon !!

Meanwhile I have still got to study for another 5 weeks for loads of exams....hopefully though, this stress is mitigated by lots of mahjong and karaoke in the evenings.

Watch this space.

Since Tuesday I did a lot of work and got back quite late. But then on Thursday though, we spent a little time playing Taboo! in one of the meeting rooms. It was funny that many people saw us coming out smiling and laughing.

Friday saw me flying in an aeroplane for Singapore. Was packing till late the night before though. Luckily internet at home is also now fixed. Phew. But was damn tired when went to bed and had a headache in the morning.

After a fantastic meal at Tony Roma's, we set off walking down Orchard Road. Practically made it to every store and mall there. At first it was freaking hot. Then it started raining later. Not the best weather at all. Also, the sales were very disappointing to me at least. On certain items that I was interested in, it was cheaper to buy it back home in Malaysia during sales. However I understand that the best sales and bargains are not for the normal people but rather those who shop in Gucci, LV, Prada, Coach and so on. As you can see crowds inside these shops and that there are always lines to go in. !! Amazing.

That night,we went to Zouk. And were shocked by the amount of humans there. It was literally a human fest. Fed up with the long queue we had some drinks somewhere else. And then I slept for 10 hours until 11 am. Had to wake up in a rush and shower and move the luggage......

And off to Orchard Road again. Still freaking hot. It is so hot that within 10 minutes of standing outside, one will be soaked with sweat ! Ew. Fed up of shopping after a while, I went to get my haircut, and my head massaged. Feel much better and positive about life now. Nothing like a good haircut. Shorter now, though but feels much much better.

Waiting for dinner now......in a few moments.......

Went to the gym today. Seriously, exercising can be very liberating and makes you feel damn good about yourself. Funnily enough, but just as I predicted though, the amount of people at the gym in the mornings has dropped tremendously. I remember near February there was like at least 40 people there in the morning, but today there was only like 15...

Freaking internet is still down and I really need to get someone to fix it soon.

Remember what I said about catching up on office gossip ? Well turns out that you might not like all gossip. I found out that my boss and sponsor was going to leave for Hong Kong by the end of the month. :( That is at once both good and bad news. Good that if I want to go to Hong Kong to work (WHICH I DO !!) there is already a great guy who knows what I can do posted there. Bad because he is leaving now..... :( I would rather he stay for at least half a year more so that I can continue to draw upon his wisdom, advice, knowledge of myself and the bank, motivational attitude and cost centre. Oh well, as I was saying yesterday, things and life must move on.

Speaking of which, quite a number of people are leaving from my floor. People are migrating to other countries, moving to other banks, getting married, getting new jobs for new challeges....it is quite sad. And makes you realise that this is not like school where you can stay with the same group of people forever. People move around and change more often than ever before and you are a fool for putting too much emotion into relationships with your colleagues that you cry when they leave. Awwwww. Sigh. And then you realise that this is how people grow up bit by bit.

Monday back at work went by strangely fast. The whole day just passed by. Somehow work helps time pass so much faster compare to when one was studying.

3 days to Singapore ! Am really looking forward to it and am already planning to buy all sorts of things, but mainly shirts and shoes. Will be nice and relaxing for a week before coming back to all sort of exams on all sorts of things for the next five weeks. Even though it will be at a hotel, it does not mean that the brain will not be working.

Good luck to everyone studying for exams. Hope your brains do not explode and ooze out from your eyeballs, because that is not going to look very good...............

In the end, karaoke until 11 pm. So naughty !

But on Saturday I really studied. But now if I do not pass, I guess I will always know the reason why. And the worst part is that we went to the sucky Neway at Times Square which SUCKS ! Red Box rules all the way. Had good fun watching people sing, though not always good sounding to the ears, I guess there was a lot of the atmosphere when a big group sings. I still like small groups though. Get more chance to sing.

CFA is over !! It was tough. But I hope I pass. Hope and pray really hard.

And the birds are singing, and the people are dancing....well, not really...but you get the idea.

Wish the stupid internet would get fixed though. Typing at the office and at cybercafes are not exactly fun.

Back to work tomorrow for four days and then off I go to SINGAPORE YAY !

FREAKING INTERNET HAS BEEN DOWN SINCE MONDAY MORNING !

I am dying here especially since I have been studying at home. The lack of internet makes me want to gnaw my toes off and then bang my head against the toilet bowl........

So instead of spending my time on afl.com, or facebook.com, or blogger.com, or pokerstars.net, I have been watching lots of Friends and SATC. Too much Friends and SATC. But after watching them for like the hundredth time, I still loved both the last episodes sooooooo much and still very touching. They just do not make comedies like they used to.

I have been studying so much for the last 3 weeks my brain is about to burst. Though I do hope that the brain stays in the skull for another few days so that I can pass my exam on Sunday. I WANT TO PASS I NEED TO PASS I HAVE TO PASS !!!!!!!

Anyway, I am typing this from the office because I spent the entire Friday having training for HIV/AIDS. Now, I have been certified to teach other people about HIV/AIDS and this will OBVIOUSLY earn extra brownie points. Of course I want to help people too so this is totally such a win win situation !!!! And the lunch is sooooo totally yummy. My lunch was almost entirely smoked salmon, cheese, crackers and fried fish. Yummy. Sometimes I wish that I could have great meals in hotels ALL the time and sometimes I feel all grossed out that I managed to consume so many calories in such a small period of time.

My teeth hurt a bit as I have started to wear my retainers at night again. Ow. Ew.

And of course going to office this means that I get to use the internet too. So I had to blog.

ANYWAY !!!

Did a whole bunch of tests..........friendtests. Did not score very well but in my defence they were VERY HARD. And of course I did each in under 5 seconds. Sorry guys. But you know I LOVE YOU ALL !!!!

RaeBear, SherBear, CCYBear, FangBear good luck for CFA exams !!!!!

Everyone else good luck for your normal university exams... !!! (booooo!)

Shit. I always have so much planned to write on my blog but by the time I reach the internet, it is all gone from my head. I have been reading so much, whenever I am not studying that I have actually finished reading all the books in my room again. Almost all. That is about at least 100 books including a couple of brand new books !!! ARGHHH.

~Stressssssssssssss~

I need to check my facebook. I want to know whether my team is doing well for AFL fantasy. I have not checked my email. I want to increase my hoard of money at pokerstars. I want I want I want.

Luckily the thing I COULD do at work is follow up on all my blog reading. Phew. Have done with a couple of days' worth. Usually I read every day you see.....

Worse is, I realised how much office gossip I missed by not coming to work for the past few weeks !! Really needed to catch up. Suddenly there are new people, people who are leaving, people who just did crazy things, and just basically news news and more news about everyone.

Confirmed my flight tickets to Singapore though so that is good. Singapore in a week !!! Yay !!

Exam exam exam exam exam exam exam.

I would like to go home now, but it is raining like the day after tomorrow, and the traffic is really bad. Like ants rushing to a little pyramid of sugar.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG

People have asked me to go karaoke ! I suppose I can go right ? since the traffic is so bad anyway !! Right ! And I will not stay for too long..................YES MUST BE DISCIPLINED AND ONLY GO FOR 2 HOURS !!!!

STAY STRONG
