Visited OrangeBear's prospective apartment for next year. It is pretty nice to have as a one-person apartment. What is worrying is that he would be living alone with bad cooking skills not to mention a very messy character. I am sure it will all work out next year.

This is also supposed to be a sequel to a previous story. Although I can safely claim to have many great girl-friends...there is nothing to a guy like a best bud. And phew, there are quite a few of them too.

Cheers go out to some best pals from primary school like NicBear, AdBear, TehBear. These are some of the guys that I still look out for and hang around with and yearn to share some time with. I remember the times we spent even then on art projects, cycling around the area, trading cookies and even some little fights. PhilBear and MalBear to some extent, spent a lot of time with them especially towards Year 6, 7 and 8. Great people to be with and can make me laugh any time. Hope to see you guys around. Just missed seeing MalBear but have at least caught PhilBear around.

Great to have gone on to meet JengBear, CYBear, RBear, KYBear and AfBear. These people are the best. There could never be any closer friend for me especially JengBear and CYBear. I might not have seen them for two years but whenever we pick up the phone, we can still talk for hours, whining and complaining. What are friends for right ?

In Melbourne, my two great friends, OrangeBear and FredBear. Thank you so much. Have learnt so much, enjoyed so much, laughed so much, had so much fun with the both of you. It will be really sad when it comes to the time when we part after we graduate. But of course you know our friendship will always last right !? And how could I ever forget ParkyBear and TasBear ?!

Love all these guys man. The best friends a guy could have.

Meanwhile after celebrating TasBear's birthday with a yumcha, it was great (at the Holiday Inn). That night we surprised FredBear at his place. We bought him a muffin and sang him a birthday song. Disappointed ? Of course. But not to worry, within 20 minutes we had another 16 people coming with a huge cake. Happy 21st FredBear.

Music Night was on Friday night and I was performing in four acts !
I am just so addicted to performing onstage now.
So my four items were

1. Chinese song The Moon Represents My Heart with SherBear and XXBear. Got conned into doing this one actually. But oh well, what harm can come of it ?

2. Chinese song Friends. This was with a whole group of people including ParkyBear. Quite interesting too except of course there were some people who came on stage for no reason.

3. A quartet a cappela singing. We sang three songs. A latin song "Ave Verum" and two very very old English songs. Must have been about 400 years old. My favourite act.

4. That Thing You Do. A lot of screaming and jumping around with FangBear.

It was FUN !

CharBear asked me to help HarvBear to do Entertainment for Cafe...I can already see some great acts in my head !

Right now...I am preparing to go celebrate TasBear's birthday lunch. And tonight probably will have to celebrate FredBear's 21st.

Busy Busy Busy. But I finished 3 weeks of study yesterday. That is a good thing.

Had a trip to watch flare dance performance with SherBear and XXBear in an effort to cheer them up. It worked possible. After the performance, we shared a cup of gelati and then walked around to Puggs, Ffour (where we danced for an hour) and then back to Puggs. Walking back arm in arm and then singing was all quite enjoyable and uplifting.

PatBear and WoobyBear have both asked me to stay with them. But how can I ? Firstly, I do not think they have that many points. It would be quite noisy and then again I have not even resolved RaeBear and NiqBear not to mention numerous other people I would rather stay with. It is all becoming quite confusing and I blame it all on LudBear who is in charge for not telling me the truth about the prices for the Dimmick apartments.

OrangeBear and Raebear are possibly/tentatively/actually back together. However, I am feeling rather over with the whole affair. Obviously, he just cannot get enough heartaches and just comes back for more, while she is (I think) not prepared for a serious relationship as yet. They are both so young and yet try so hard. I used to want to talk with OrangeBear about it...you know...talk it out so he would not be so stressed and angry sometimes.

And then well he did. Which was an improvement in our relationship cause he is just one of those guys who just clam up and say nothing at all except "oh everything is fine". But...to go and get some more...I think from now on, I shall not mention any relationship stuff with him unless he brings it up. It is hard enough for him as it is now that RaeBear has run ins with his mom. It is not that I want them to break up...but they have 3 times and this last time it took them an HOUR to get back together...Sheesh....

I love them both...but they really deserve a break. From each other.

Sigh. Just when I thought all was going well.

All the girls are having problems. RoxBear, RaeBear and SherBear are having problems with partners. NiqBear is still miffed at LucBear. JinBear has problems going onwards with SharBear. XXBear has problems with most of the above. All is not going well.

And this comes at a time when everyone is so stressed about exams and choosing rooms and finding new places to live and which housemates to have or not to have. It is very sad.

I hope everything turns out all right for everyone. Spent a lot of time comforting RaeBear today. Will be taking out SherBear and XXBear to a dance and dessert to cheer them up to.

Best wishes to OrangeBear and hope everything goes well for his sake too.
Buddy...hang in there.

Sometimes I look up at the stars and
wonder where you are.
I wonder if you are at home
wishing upon the same star.
I search for a way to struggle through
my hard and troubled days.
But it's hard for me to concentrate
when you're so far away.

I wish we could have talked when I left,
But my heart knew better.
I knew if I stayed, I'd never leave;
I'd want us to be together.
I can't stay strong or keep a breath
when it comes to you.
I'm afraid I don't say what needs to be said
'cuz I don't know what to do.

So, I have a promise to make to you
and I swear it upon this day.
We'll be best friends for the rest of our lives
(if you think that's ok).
We have a special bond together
that ties us up till the end.
Your heart knows as well as mine,
we're not JUST friends,
We are the BEST of Friends !

I guess I am just feeling a little sentimental right now. When I heard one of my girl-friends reaching out for some male bonding..I wasted no time to find the first opportunity. People come and go in our lives, but friends last forever.

Thanks SueBear, I love our friendship. Along with MichBear, JenBear, and SCBear. Thanks for good times. Made it through SAM only with the help of you guys. JoanneBear, you too. Another someone who I can never bear to see hurt. Been through some rough times but we were there for each other right ? Chin up!

At International House, I love the many friends I have made here. They make days pass by too quickly and I sincerely wish that these days would never end. SherBear, XXBear, EstherBear ... my S-E-X friends. You guys are great. Just like three older sisters sometimes to put me in place and take care of me all the time and yet we go out for fun. Love You.

RaeBear, NiqBear. Knew you guys so much better this year. Could talk to you guys about everything and anything. Learnt a lot, had a lot of fun times and look extremely forward to great times in the same apartment next year. More and more experiences with you guys.

JinBear, SharBear, RoxBear. Bridge gang. Sigh. Had lots of good times. (This seems to be a recurring thing) Sweet memories that can last a lifetime. Conversations till late, food and fun at all hours. Talking about nonsense or nothing at all.

And I cannot forget even those at high school that I still think fondly of.....JHBear, WLBear, JPBear.......have not really kept in touch..but will try to...and will definitely be able to...!!
And even from primary school whom I have called sometime this year, AJBear and SYBear..the original girl-friends for me. Thanks. You gave me a taste of how great girls can be as best friends. And how could I forget Cobear, ElBear and MasBear. Haha. You all make me laugh. Ah and LowBear, HZBear and SMBear. Man do I have lots of friends or what. I am so lucky to have these people willing to be my friend.

Sniff....I don't think for one moment that I could have in any way survived without these fabulous and fantastic people. Touched and helped me in so many little ways..it is no wonder they say men cannot survive without a mother, a sister, a wife, a daughter or even the all-important girl-friend.

Guys...girl-friends are some of the most important people in your life. Treasure them all your lives.

*Dedicated to the most important girls of my life. My Girl-Friends... :)

We celebrated FangBear's birthday yesterday. It was a pretty good celebration and was well-attended by many many people, from first year up to third. So that was pretty good.

The only downer I felt was the childish, immature and assholic nature of certain people who felt that it gave them the right to spoil the party by pulling down the trousers of the birthday boy, smashing cake around and trying to whack the birthday boy on the head. Sure, it was sometimes done BACK in high school, but mate...we are in university now. Some people are obviously stuck in high school era and refuse to grow up.

Other than that..I have finished all my pre exam tests and OrangeBear's mom is here.

Speaking of 21, FredBear's 21st birthday is coming up in a week and I still do not know what we should get him for that very special day. What complicates matters is that it is near the exam period so it would be a little hard to get people very excited about doing something special.

GM was yesterday. It was a nice short one with O-week elections. However, I really must comment that the fresher acts and skits were not really original or as interesting as the ones in my year. Sigh. But we got them elected anyway and they should be good O-weekers. Notable misses was by BrentBear, KennyBear and PratBear. They would have been good in the team but there can only be so many.

I also watched my first International Rules Football between Australia and Ireland yesterday. In case you do not know, Australia plays Aussie Rules Football and Ireland plays Gaelic Football. These two games are unique in the world but similar to each other. So twice a year, they play International Rules with each other, where rules from both games are mixed together. It was quite an interesting match and a whole different sensation. I cannot wait for football season to start next year.

2 weeks to exams. Need to buy some crackers for those long nights. Oh and I think I will buy a portable harddrive too....because I need to bring a lot of things back in my computer.

Today was Valedict's Dinner. It is one of the big four major formal dinners at International House. This was to celebrate the students at IH who had either stayed for three years or more or people about to graduate.

Amazingly 35 people valedicted this year, probably due to the fact that last year's dinner was a big success. This year was not too bad either except I doubt many people from this year are going to valedict in the future.

The video presentation and the handing out of awards were not very well done. When I do my valedicts next year I sincerely hope to have a really nice one and coordinate it nicely.

Tonight is the last night I go to bed dreaming about assigments. All will be over by 4 pm tomorrow. This said, I have been living on too little sleep. So I better go. Try and get some sleep I mean.

TasBear and FredBear's birthdays are coming up on the same day on the 24th. NeetaBear will celebrate hers this saturday. So busy am I..

Called a very good friend.hmm call him CYBear...actually one of the best.....called one of my best friends in Malaysia last night..

Had a great time catching up..and whining and complaining (What are friends for right ?)
Sigh for the good old times.

However...not very pleased to learn about a cigarette habit not kicked yet....as well as a foray into some recreational drugs.. knowing him it could be just another 'ego-boosting showoff' brag...but still if it is true... STOP it right now !!....pretty disgusting not to mention expensive..
as well as some pretty embarassing incidents following that experiment..

Had a nice chat with FredBear...and reestablished contact with YiinBear..well not yet...not quite but will be great to hear from her too...

It is sooo hot in Melbourne today ... 32 degrees !!

On Friday night, we had a karaoke to celebrate JinBear's birthday. Woohoo..it was pretty fun.
Definitely my favourite karaoke in Melbourne now. Not only the best songs..the service was good and it is in the city (near !) as well.

Then on Saturday night, it was DamieBear's 21st birthday. It was at the Como Centre on Chapel Street. After taking the train with PatBear and FatBear, we arrived on time. However, on time was too early. We got to eat at a buffett spread at around an hour and a half after arrival !

After the eats, there were several presentations and speeches made by family and friends followed by 4 different home made cakes ! Pretty professional indeed those cakes.

Some dancing followed before everyone moved to Evolution the club on Commercial Road. Somehow the music that night was not as good as the first 2 times I have been there. But perhaps it is just that I do not recognise as many songs any more. (Growing old maybe ?)

Still had a good time though. Now have to rush my statistics assignment due tomorrow. Grarr. Have an econs due on Friday. On top of all that, another assignment to come tomorrow and also due on Friday. If only....studies were not part of a university life....

"But what are you there for" is what I hear from friends and family.

Sigh.

Mom and sis have left back to Malaysia. My room suddenly feels very big.

I have the video camera back now so now I have 2 hours of footage as well as more. Hopefully I can get around 4 hours to edit for my summer project. (Of course another summer project will be to improve this blog, much too busy now)

Yesterday was JinBear's birthday celebration. It went pretty well. Due to her great liking for pink, we got her a goodie bag filled with pink things. My eyes hurt from all the bright pink. She was very happy though and although one bad thing happenned with regards from FatBear, we shall not mention it. (no negative thoughts remember ?)

Tomorrow we shall be going karaoke again this time at Hollywood. Have never been there yet, more pricey than other places but hopefully it is good. Still have a lot more assignments due but thankfully looked through the economics assignment today and it does not seem to be very hard.

Watched 2 weeks notice in RaeBear's room. This is the third time I have watched it this year. Basically I am pretty much forced to watch these things. Sigh.

Won the Best and Fairest Award for squash this year ! Hurray. Well now I at least can write that I excelled in sport during my uni years haha ! Did I mention I get this huge trophy with my name engraved on it ? Well, not to keep but it should be in the college trophy room for ever and ever. Hope can make it to win Fraternitas Award next year !!

OrangeBear won the raffle tonight. It was so funny. I remember how he said he has never won any lucky draw things or a scholarship thingy but tonight he won a basket with a bottle of champagne, 2 champagne flutes as well as some daily pass to the Melbourne Spring Races !!
Good for you buddy ! (But he really is lucky at the casino!!)

Meanwhile fantasy football keeps on getting better. I am now up to third in the college league and have earned my second weekly highest performance. I think I do quite well in analysis games (eg Footy Tipping) and have lots of luck too.

Music Night is coming up. Last year I performed three acts. This year I seem to already have two. Wow..stage is so meant for me right ? I tried out for the play this year too. Although ending up as chief backstage and props, I really wanted to do the acting bits.

Oweek ! Should I do it or not ? Well, I want to do it for all the obvious reasons, fun, get to know more people and a lot of fun seriously !! But well if there are enough freshers to do it then I should give them a chance then ! See how it goes...

Quite tired now. Should probably go zzzzzz

Haha..visited the Melbourne Aquarium today. I think it is not as good as the Sydney one definitely but then again almost all the aquariums or underwater worlds are around the same anyway. One of the highlights was a motion master ride thing..but it was the exact same one as the one in Genting - the one in Ice. So it was a little disappointing. Wanted very much to buy a turtle stuffed toy...but did not. Sigh.

Before that had dimsum with the same couple of Bears from Thursday night. 2 nights ago.
Then off to Crown to get a birthday present for DamieBear from the Perfume Collection shop. Kenzo ? Yes. Definitely.

Had a short stop at the pet shop near Victoria Market too to look at some crabs and dogs. RaeBear is crazy about crabs. If I remember, I just might get her a crab for Christmas !

SueBear has a blog now too ! Darn that she has already started putting links and tagboard on. Gosh I want to put those on too but right now with my level of technological advancement I cannot. Must improve soon !

Gotta start doing the Maths assignment soon. Lol. But I am very happy right now !

Ah what a wonderful thing it is to have friends and be able to spend time with them.

Had a study session at the Law Library yesterday. It was actually the first time that I have done ANY studying at all in any library !

On an impromptu note, went for dinner later that night at Samurai, a japanese restaurant at Glenferrie Road. Went with RaeBear, OrangeBear, NiqBear, AmyBear and AllenBear.

(PS IT is getting a little difficult to keep peoples name a secret coz I find it hard to remember which bear is which unless I put names in front. Dang.)

The food was fantastic and cheap. Even ate some brinjal. Then visited AmyBear's Place at Bouverie Close. Quite a nice place and cheap too. Fantastic for two people to live in I think.
Then played Mahjong with the three girls while the two boys played Winning Eleven on PS. I am terribly hopeless at PS or any other game console probably because usually I cannot handle the controllers. ( Too Big for my hands !)

Had some gelati before coming home to sleep. More studying today. Sigh. But while I am excited to be going home, I will be sad that there is only one more year of university life for me left and that many of my friends will be moving out of IH too. And there is also the big dilemma...to work in the holidays or visit China and HongKong in the holidays ??

And also...to be or not to be O-Weeker again ?
