About

Sometimes you need a place to tell your stories. Or whisper a secret. Or complain. Or make an announcement. Or tell a joke. Or maybe just let your friends know what you are doing at the moment. This is my place.

The weekend after my wisdom teeth extraction, I was invited along with MrTam to go to the horse racing jockey club to celebrate FredBear's Father's Day with his family. So we had a few hours of horse racing along with a splendid buffet of food. The only problem was that I could not eat much, so I was largely limited to congee, ice cream and steamed fish. It rained very heavily as well so the horses were very erratic. After winning in the first race, I did not win as much in the subsequent races. We left around the 8th race in search of coffee at this place which was having an exhibition of around 80 expresso cups. That was pretty fun.

I spent much of the next week at home, due to a fever and a cold and spent many hours sleeping. It was good to take a rest though. It refreshed me greatly for the next 2 weeks at work. I was in a new team, and the tasks were significantly different though related to what I was doing before. In a global team I had to look after everyone in the world, and as an example, was asked to do an in depth review of the banking industry in Oman and Qatar. This was after I did Taiwan. Interesting ! And also a large learning experience that I am enjoying so far. The team itself is great and fun, though sometimes I do have some conflict of interest having worked for a local team before, that I have to learn to get over.

I have signed everything I need to start work here as a local HK employee so the next part would be to go look for an apartment to live in. I guess will have to look for a place near work as well since that is still a mainstay in my life but the question is how big, how near, where and so on. Haha. The mind boggles.

Well such is life.
