Wah I went to a tulip farm/festival on Sunday after JessBear's birthday and it was great. Coincidentally it was also SharBear's birthday that day so we had a lot of fun and also bought her some of the amazing flowers...just look at the fields of colour !!


There were many many different types of tulips and also a wide variety of other flowers as well...it really is very very beautiful to have so many flowers around you especially in Spring !!

It also happened to be Dutch Day at the festival so there were many things Dutch at that place...for example souvenirs, food, dances and even wooden clogs for sale that I wanted to buy very much but cost too much as well !! It was so very interesting until some lady dancing in an exhibition broke her clogs..

Later on, we went to a winery to sample wine...it was great wine but I did not have much interest in the wine itself as I am more a cocktail person...anyway the view of the Yarra Valley is so great and I was not surprised to hear that many people have booked these wineries to have weddings and parties !

We took a lot of pictures....well at least I did anyway....here is a sample hehe
such a camera whore but what can I say...I love to take pictures and FredBear was very gracious in arranging my poses....LOL




Maybe soon I will be able to make my own portfolio hahah.....well I am going off to Sydney in a few hours so am quite excited...will be my third time up there...and I think everytime is a very different experience since am going around with different people !!

Oh .... Melbourne Show was such a blast !!
If you do not know, it is the yearly 2 week long fair where farmers and animal owners show off their animals .... take part in competitions and the like as well as a big funfair for all the city folk ! There are lots of games, competitions, shows, merchandise and food for sale all the time.

We left at around 9 am in the morning from IH since we wanted to watch the dog show which started at 10 am. The group was CCBear, KenBear, JeanBear and IzyBear. We met up with the other group who got there later (because they took the train) which was KaiBear, JacBear, CKBear, EriBear, EugBear, DachiBear, GraceBear and AllenBear. Watching the dog show was fun...I love those dogs !! And it was interesting to see how they were judged. We watched some shows such as the Rocketman, Monster Truck Rally, Xtreme Cycling....Human Cannonball it was all very festive..

We also visited the animal sheds which had the biggest cows and chickens you could ever imagine. Put it this way....the prize winning chicken was worth 500 dollars....and it weighed more than 15 kg !!

The biggest cow weighed more than 800 pounds ! And when they pee, they look like a faucet.

Some of us were petting pigs and lambs by the time the medical students arrived along with KHBear and DanBear. Some people bought some showbags which were very interesting. They are basically goodybags with stuff and were much cheaper than what you could get outside...for example a bag full of chocolate worth 30 dollars sells for 15....and a Rugrats bag filled with merchandise costing 60 dollars sells for 25.

The most fun part was when we played the games. We went down a 3 storey high slide. It was really fun and high up. Then IzyBear won me a Giant plush dice from poker. I love it so much !

Later that night, I was bowling and I got my highest scores for 3 games yet !! Finally back to a bit of form. I think my handicap went up by two again !! Which is one below JeffBear so he cannot complain I took over him while he was not here...hehe

Back at IH later that night, there was some food leftover from 401 cooking...I love 401 nowadays...it is always so homey and happy. But I cleaned up the lounge yesterday night and you should see how clean it is !!

Holidays are great but I have to get back to my real estate assignment. Also the fact that the midsem results are taking so long to come back is a real worry and a motivation to work.

Back to work !

Well it has been a busy week but the holidays have arrived !! Hurrah !!

Not only am I now no longer the treasurer...I have celebrated so many birthdays this week....CCYBear, GraceBear, RahulBear and even SharoBear. Happy Birthday all !!

Also was rushing to finish the Personal Finance assignment so that just have one for the holidays....Phew...just on time...now all I have to do is finish all my usual stuff then can have a nice break...incidentally my last one for my uni life !

I was just walking to uni today with SherBear and then was discussing how nice the weather was and suddenly it dawned on me how I would never be able to enjoy it again..Sigh. But there is a new life as well I guess. Wrote my resume and a essay for a job application. Seems such adult things to do.....Am I no longer a kid ? I do not think so though. I feel as if I was still 13....although smarter in life..and finding it easier to get what I want.

What do I want ?? I am not really sure although I know what I have now is great !

Had mooncake festival dinner at IH tonight. Had roast duck, chicken soup...yummy tofu....and mooncake of course. Then had mooncake. Still find it hard to believe that I did not like it till a few years ago. But even now..it is not exactly a favourite. Then we had some fun with some lanterns and sparklers...the fresher gang I guess..do you know them ? Well, there are the people from my year whom you all hear so much about....and then there is my baby family. Somehow I did not get along with the second years as well..but there is something about this year.

There is KeeBear...who like me.....is a Kee...from Klang..extremely cute and yet has such a mature air sometimes..it is quite impossible not to like him...JeannieBear and CCBear...who are irrepressible girls who have to know everything and seem filled with boundless energy...KenBear the nice guy who never seems to study and dances really well...AllenBear...who is rich but not showy-offy...nice to everyone and has the funniest look when he tries to look innocent...DamiBear...who is from Muar.. has many ideas and is fond of projects.. EddiBear..who started out so loud and uncouth but ended up being very fun and jovial...EelBear who though new has joined in so well !! as well as CKBear..always so friendly and hardworking, DanBear...so funny and is actually the brother of DebBear from SAM... that is almost everyone I think...forgive me if I forgot anyone.

These people have made my last year in Melbourne fun as well and reminded me how fun-filled life can be as a fresher. When everything was new and interesting ! Thanks a lot.

Holidays...not much plans yet...maybe just a Sydney trip...my third in three years. Whoa.

We had our last GC meeting yesterday night and TasBear was being a bit of an ass. Granted he was just trying to make his opinions heard but he was not a bit sensitive at all to other people's opinions. Having known him for so long, I kind of expected it to be coming especially at the last GC. I do not hate him at all but maybe just a bit irritated because he can be sooooo very nice around people but sometimes I do not know what makes him want to show the worst side of him...That is actually the main reason I got irritated I think....irritated that he cannot show his better side to people to make them think better of him...but then again...would you say that these type of people are safer ? With no backstabbing or under the table vicious gossip or being two-faced...

But he is my friend.

I have loads of work to do this weekend so quite glad that it starts today due to the Derivatives exam yesterday which was not too bad. Was quite tiring too as had to help Lil'BBear finish his macro essay. I love kids.... All the work this weekend includes writing some resumes to get some work....it is going to be a new life...and the transition will be one of the hardest for me...I hope I will find it interesting though !

What is it about people that sometimes some of them can annoy you so much...and you try your best to mean well. ?

Is it a lot to ask from a friend to catch up on some news ? But then again, I should understand that they might have their own busy lives....but from someone I consider a great friend, it can be disappointing. YBear..I guess as you said, you will not be visiting here...but if you do, you are great, a great friend of mine...and maybe we can catch up properly sometime...hope you do not get too depressed !!

But as fast as you can lose friends, it is so comforting that you can make friends too. Like JeffBear. Happy 21st Birthday. Haha...sad that we will only get one semester to actually know each other. But maybe we can become good friends too and who knows ? Can always chat on MSN too.

NiqBear's birthday last Friday was fun ! It was a pink and white themed party and we all had to dress up in pink and white.. !! Again lots of fun and again the whole gang was there...I really feel that we are starting to reminisce more and therefore find excuses to hang out again before the end of the semester...only LuciBear and SoBear were missing this time. But we got a sort of addition of DinoBear and AndBear even came ! Great fun...as he was more interesting and happy that he has been in a long time....in my opinion anyway.

ReidBear broke his leg playing soccer for IH on Saturday..a tragedy and will miss his witty sarcasm...he gets to miss Derivatives Midsem though lucky thing...although I have to start studying for it tomorrow cause I might get a three day week then. Hope he does not feel too much pain. Ekiden was also done this weekend as well as Soiree. What a very busy weekend it is !

Also spent two nights in 401 already...with the 401 family...incidentally pronounced...foi...and my very own apartment is called troi I guess since it is 301. Had some food and fondue !! Yum....again....then a bit of bridge and then poker with my new poker set, a birthday present from FredBear..it was really fun playing with chips...I probably should not mention this but I won 15 dollars...beating out KaiBear, WoobyBear and HigginsBear. Guess all that work at pokerstars really was worth it after all. Could it be a career though ? I wonder.

Wonder if should go to Tasmania and Sydney for a holiday break. It will not be expensive since will be going by car..and in a group..still....cause if I stay in IH I have to pay anyway..am still thinking though...it is a lot of trouble...and I do have that REF assignment....Pondering...

And all that trouble taken to know about cricket paid off...you see KennyBear had to design a programme based on cricket and I had a fun ten minutes explaining it to him. I guess being full of trivia is fun after all !! It takes me back to the time when I was on the houseboat in Easter and we joined a trivia quiz at the local pub....

The Australian way of life is addictive......

However I surprised myself one day when I thought..."Since I cannot really actually stay here anyway...I should not worry or think about things that could have happened had I been able to stay and instead just enjoy these last few weeks". How very wise of me.... !

Wow....another few days have passed...and it has been NiqBear and WoobyBear's birthday already so far.....and then tonight we have to cook lots...so I will be cooking a big pile of fried noodles and I am planning to add crabsticks, fishballs, some meatballs, eggs on the side...and vege of course...have a bit of fun with chocolate and fruit..as well as a chocolate mousse...yum..hopefully it is good.. :)

Got NiqBear a big bunch of pinkish tulips for her birthday...hopefully they will open up on her birthday....they were quite nice... :)

Had another PBL exam...hope it is alrite....but it should be...it is my favourite subject after all but the next few weeks will be quite busy with almost 100% worth of assignments and test...sigh but then good thing is the holidays will be coming soon hooray ! what should I do though ?

That is a wonder. As I am also on the phone with my MomBear now....I find it too distracting to keep on typing....see everyone later...
