What a Christmas...

Well in the end on christmas eve I was able to scrounge up some gifts...luckily for me to have gone for lunch with PLiBear and JinBear. It was quite a wonderful day in itself.

For the first time, I was part of a group of 16 people working on a huge business proposal. We had to do a lot of last minute research to have prices of insurancen for a couple of companies. We could not use any computers because apparently it was too slow..or rather that the software to be used was too slow.

But it was great and for the first time I was pretty glad that I did learn to use Excel in uni. Well it was almost done before I left since it was a half-day. But I was proud as I was actually doing decent work for once.

On Christmas day there was of course church..then it was to Grandma's house for gift exchanging..then at night off to some friend's house warming plus christmas party.

Not as fun as any other Christmas but at least not a total wash-out. All said, I am pretty excited to be going back to work.

If there is one thing I would like for Christmas it would be more time. TIME !

I have so little of it that it is no wonder this blog has not been repaired or updated frequently. The jobs are taking up a lot of my time. But I am slowly getting used to the whole thing and finding bits of time here and there to do what needs to be done.

Hehe...currently I am in a little panic as I have not bought enough gifts for my family yet. Argh...and it is already the twenty first..

How is everyone...? haha thinking of baking a cake could be fun but where do I get the time ?

Grooh. I have had so much need of sleep !!

I have to wake up at half past six most mornings...work till like about six...by the time i get back and have dinner and a shower its usually eight or half past. Quite a busy person.. !

And then I have to start work on my second job too. Well..that was illustrating children's books. So more work. Well, more money as well but then again less free time. I have not even started to edit my videos yet.

But the songs here are great. Have been missing out while in Melbourne. So learning a lot of new songs. !! Also have a sudden glut of Arashi songs. Can you imagine it ??

EricBear and SharBear are on a visit from Vietnam and Singapore. Had them around yesterday. Amazing. Oh and the day before that... was with FangBear and then had food at Ming Tien with MaybBear, SzeBear, TKYBear, WoobyBear, ClBear. Later we met up with IsaBear, YvBear, StepBear, EricBear, SharBear at a Cheow Yang. On the plus side...I am definitely learning a lot of new roads around in PJ. That is good.

It's a pretty good holiday so far...with visits from MinBear, the Twins, and LucBear. With AngBear maybe still to come...it should be fun..!!

Grooh. More work. Luckily this week I have been writing some letters and cards to friends from around the world so is not as stressed or tired out. Plus have I mentioned it before, now I key in sensitive data ? Lol. Not that sensitive but very important nonetheless. Feels like I am doing something too la..

Results should be out tomorrow and I am a bit excited. Excited to know how I have done this semester compared to the previous one as the results from the previous was quite bad. So studied much much more this sem and hopes for the best.

Holidays what holidays ?? Haven't done much by way of holidaying yet...Sigh. Work Work Work.

Have visited some shops here and already I want to buy buy buy but as you all know I am not in the process of purging my wardrobe of its hundreds of items and I should not buy anything new as yet. As it is, I still have lots of clothes over at Australia and it is worrying that my cupboard is not growing any bigger. Sigh. So many clothes, so little space. I wonder how girls find so much space to hang their clothes ?

I am sooo busy I cannot believe it. Meanwhile say hi to the new fully-fledged telephone enquiry operator at my company !! I can now take calls on my own and give advice or check up the computer database for information. But I always come home soo tired.

At the same time, the blog is still slightly screwed expecially the tagboard and the comments feature...so will get to it. sometime soon I hope. I look forward to the weekends so much now. Not because I do not have to work but rather because I can get some rest. And proper sleep.

Need to do some Christmas shopping too but where is the time !??!?!? Have begun mammoth task of writing cards....might not be able to get them out in time though !!

It is great to be back I guess ! Lots of things to do lots of people to meet !!

Well let me elaborate about my job. The first three days have passed..very tiring...

The first day I had my orientation where they explained everything about the company. It took till lunch time. After lunch I and this other guy AndyBear were brought down to the CounterSales Floor on 2nd and then they plonked us with two huge stacks of information booklets to read and understand. So we had to do that. Until finally the senior clerk came and gave us a stack of insurance premiums to count. That was fun in the fact that it was like a puzzle.

The second day, we finished up the counting of premiums and then basically spent the rest of the morning just lounging around and reading those information files. They can be very boring. Sometimes it felt like a very very long lecture which would never end !!

The third day was by far the best. Well, because we met all the staff finally, as in we were introduced and given real work to do. Like giving cover notes, filling in forms, linking to JPJ and handling telephone enquiries. That is real work. I think that I would rather have some work to do than to sit there in front of an empty table and laze around.

Thats it for now...oh wait...MinBear is here from Japan on a visit...so there was this dinner yesterday at SS2...phew...luckily I knew how to go there already... !! It was fun, then we came back to my house to get durian and rambutan and mangosteen. Almost went to Zouk...then would have bumped into some high school friends..but did not..well should have la...!!

Hi....sorry for the long wait....it has been a busy weekend.

I touched down on Saturday night and had a rest that night. Did not feel like doing anything at all. It was a fun if bumpy flight. Having many people I knew on the same flight definitely made it more fun. Of course as usual there is the mood spoiler...well that is FatBear of course. No details..but it involves a lot of selfishness, arrogance and many many extra kilogrammes of luggage.

I had fun sitting between the two YvonneBears and knowing there was another one somewhere in front. But what a day it was. To get ten people into three cabs on time was definitely not an easy task. As KennyBear later said..."It must have been so stressful for you..but thank goodness you were there" Actually just had to do a lot of logistics, arranging for luggage to be put into cabs, looking after many people, making sure a lot of things happened and that people were doing things at the right times. But we got there Phew !! I must declare here that it took a lot of leadership ...and I am very proud of myself.

The flight was a fun one but I slept a lot due to the fact that I did not have any sleep or almost none for the previous two nights. Because of ParkyBear really who made me stay up with him and have vodka the whole night.

Sunday required me to attend church of course and then it was grandfather's birthday. Finally got home around 4 pm..had a nap and then put up the Christmas tree with my sisters...A lot of work.. Then had dinner..(Japanese because I missed it so much)...I paid for my sisters la....generous ? maybe just glad to be home...then had a visit to PCYBear...drove to SS2.....new experience definitely....had some fun !! not much but still some...

Monday....stress..went to make MyKad as well as renew my driving license...met JoyceBear there too... well what a waste of a whole day....had lunch and then later cleaned up a bit of my room and then had a visit and a talk with LainCBear and CTBear. I am proud of myself again because I sat in Secret Recipe for an hour and did not have anything to eat OR drink !!

By now you should probably know that I plan to lose 10 kgs during these three months....

Tuesday was a rush. Had to get some clothes for work didn't I ? But also had to get groceries....and then rush because went out with JoanneBear and KYBear and JHBear...had some talk met some new people and then went bowling...surprised to get a 119 and then a more normal 94....so tired...had dinner...but have new shoes Hurray !!

TODAY IS WEDNESDAY....and I appreciate money so much more..it is such a torture to go to work and it is only the first day..I do hope it will get better...!!
