| Saturday, October 21, 2006 I am exhausted. Guess why..... We sang karaoke from 10pm to 6 am this morning.... !!! Woooooooooooooooooo !! This makes it the 8th time I have sung karaoke this month. It is definitely a new record ! I just loved the feeling you get at the end of the whole session, such a big accomplishment !!!! And we really had fun too, dancing around the room, dice games, drinks, shouting, proper singing, discovering new songs..........sigh, will miss the fun times.... At least I have finally finished all the exams and that this last week should be pretty fun again...The sad thing is that by this time next week, we will be having the cocktail farewell gala dinner and it will be devastating to say goodbye to friends that you have only had 6 weeks to spend time with........ Going back a few posts where I sort of described the HKGAs I think I have successfully made friends with all of them...which is pretty great. And they are all really nice and friendly. It would have been nice to be a GA in Hong Kong I think. This is because there have been some troubling things going on. Anyway there was this party where all the Malaysian GAs were invited. And anyway, only one person knew and he told one other person. And when another 2 GAs found out and asked him why he did not inform all of us, he denied that we were invited. When I was told (I was the last to know...I was busy in HK...haha) I was troubled that this could happen. Alright maybe I have always envisioned a perfect workplace without any politics, but there was definitely politics in play here. However, I currently reserve my stand. I am Switzerland. Anyway, I like them all so there is no point choosing sides. Yesterday, as well, after my exams I went to Batu Caves. Yes I know, I am such a tourist. But it was a good chance to visit parts of Malaysia I would not have gone to otherwise right ? The steps up were not very tiring but it was quite disappointing that there was not much to see up there anyway. Then I went into the dark cave tour as well. Interesting, if you liked caves and rock formations and giant cockroaches and bats and mystery. Well for me it was an experience and I would probably not go again. Not really interesting for me. I think a lot of my childhood interest for nature has slowly changed to more material things - clothes, career, music, entertainment.......which I suppose is pretty normal. Exam times are coming up for university students !! Good luck everyone, and remember to get lots of rest and hugs every day so that you stay in top shape !! |
