About

Sometimes you need a place to tell your stories. Or whisper a secret. Or complain. Or make an announcement. Or tell a joke. Or maybe just let your friends know what you are doing at the moment. This is my place.

In the words of one my colleagues.. "I am BEKKKKKKKK!!"

I am back from Singapore. Land of big disappointments.

Sorry to anyone who might feel insulted.

First the good things. Nightspots are FANTASTIC in Singapore. Swissotel, Clarke Quay, Holland Village, Cafe Del Mar, Geylang, Esplanade.....fantastic. Had Max Brenner's too. Mini golf at Sentosa was also really good.

Bad. Orchard Road = Huge disappointment for maniac shoppers. Too many people, not enough great sales. There is not a lot to be saved at the prices and discounts offered. Sentosa, other than the mini golf and Cafe Del Mar, equals theme park for kiddies. No MRT near the hotel. Boo. Also, not enough taxis on the road. Boo. Also, weather was sunny. TOO SUNNY in fact that I just wanted to get out of the sun and into any air conditioned places. It was so freaking hot, an ice cube would have lasted 10 seconds on the sidewalk.

Yea well. So had a whole week of extremely boring (I found it boring anyway) team building and other soft skill building classes. Seriously boring. And that was the whole week pretty much. Spent most of my money on the great food and drinks at the great places to eat and play. That was about it. Did not come home with any physical booty at all. Oh well. Oooh ! And I met CCYBear and had a really long talk about work and banking and stuff. That was fun.

But pretty much it. Singapore is not as much it is hyped to be. I guess unless you just have loads of money in which case you just shop and drink and party at night.

RoxBear, BV is apparently not cheaper than in HK. Also, the gossip that you wanted ? Well, I suppose the ending is not happy. I think she wanted a break from all relationships.....

So how is everyone's exams coming along ? Never mind, it will be over soon !!

Meanwhile I have still got to study for another 5 weeks for loads of exams....hopefully though, this stress is mitigated by lots of mahjong and karaoke in the evenings.

Watch this space.
