| Sunday, May 29, 2005 Since it is swot vac..time....it is very possible that almost everytime you talk to someone you would be asking about things such as when are exams, what chapter you have studied up to and when are you going home for the holidays. It is a very stressful time as well and yet you will always be able to find people awake at all hours of the day especially around 4-5 am. It is amazing how many many people find it so much easier to study during the wee hours of the morning. Also it is the time when many people simply disappear from sight. They are probably studying but it is sad as some of them you will not see for the rest of your life as they were probably on exchange or have graduated. Tempers flare from time to time so it is also not uncommon to see some shouts somewhere in the dining hall or frustrated slams of very thick books. Myself, well am rather calm..and of course studying..Should also proably not mention the fact that I have won around $100,000 from poker already. I guess FredBear was to blame for that slew of rash decision which turned out fine...but still very reckless. Last Wednesday we celebrated ParkyBear's birthday. As he had an exam on Thursday, we only had a short birthday cake cutting with chocolate fondue that night. But later on Thursday night, myself, him and RegBear were hard at work at ReidBear's apartment making scones. We made at least 9 dozen scones and they were very good. Apart from TasBear's time to time sabotages and comments, they went down very well with jam and whipped cream. Hot scones are just amazing. And since I have memorised the recipe well, it cannot be hard to make again. Then on Friday night, RoxBear had homemade pizza and that was great as well. Rushing back that night for ParkyBear's late night high tea with jam, tea and scones it was great fun as well. As it was officially the celebration for the battle of Tsushima between Japan and Russia, there were no official presents as well. Late night talks between ParkyBear, TasBear and I lasted well long into the night after everyone else had gone. I guess this was definitely called quality time...when you can talk and talk and relax and drink tea. We also had some macaroni and cheese at around 3 am. Yesterday had some Vietnamese noodles and my all time favourite soursop drink in Richmond. It was great...except that got conned later to go to RoxBear's place for brownies and mahjong. Am quite good at it by now...in fact....very good..haha... So although not much studying was done yesterday, today I have been getting about my IF reading and it is rather going quite well so I shall be prepared for my discussion group tomorrow. Good Luck to myself for all the work and exams !!! |
