After two false starts, the cupboard guy finally came to my place to fix my cupboards ! The first time he said he was too busy, and the second time, it was raining. Well we finally agreed on a time to set up the (almost) last bits of my new place. And now I have two wardrobes.

The reason I chose what I chose to buy almost a month ago, was because they were cheap and large enough to be properly functional. However ! now that they are set up, there seems to be some small miscalculation. They currently do fit into the apartment well enough. Just for some history, I bought two of the same cupboards, due to the price and functionality. While the one in the hall is great ! Being tall enough to put umbrellas in, and all the bits and pieces of every day, life, the other one that I had planned to put into the bedroom posed some kind of problem. It is overhelming the whole room !

It takes up about 40% of the floor space in the other room, and if I were to open up the foldup bed in there, there would be almost zero standing space ! A bit of miscalculation there ! Though this is just guess work since I have not really cleaned up in there, but I am dreading it ! Perhaps the next post can tell you more. The height is fine, and it is just the depth of the cupboard that is bothering me. It is definitely too big for the room but the problem is that now it cannot be moved out of the room as it is wider than the doorframe ! LOL !

Meanwhile, my Sony mobile phone, which is the second mobile phone EVER that I have purchased became mute. First the ringtone died off. After about a week, now I cannot talk on it. Or hear anyone else talk. So, it can only send messages and now is more like a pager rather than a phone. After long talks with many many parties, I have come to the conclusion that I would need to buy a new mobile phone. The third in my life. Which one may be a question I hope to have answered tomorrow. In the meantime, I may have to put off buying an Ipad. Guess too many expenses in the same month will kill my budget.

2 months of no posts can you believe it !!

Neither can I.

With a quick run down on the past two months, it has mainly been about :

1. Looking for an apartment to stay in - now that the lease on my first apartment in Hong Kong has ended, it was time to look for a new home. It was not easy ! Seeing as how I would have to pay all the rent on my new place, I got really picky and choosy about my new place. I saw many many places and sometimes even in the rain. Nothing seemed perfect. Some places I liked but were rented even before I could look at it a second time. Luckily I saw the place that I am in now on a Sunday, and I signed for it on Monday. I was too tired to look at more places by then. Not to say that the place I have now is fantastic and great, it is not, there could be many improvements, but it was definitely one of the better ones that I saw out there. The price is reasonable and I feel comfortable enough in it. Convenience played a big role. So come and visit me at my new place in Wanchai !

2. Working in a new role. But of course - not too interesting there.

3. Went for a week to Yunnan. It was fantastic. More on that later. With pictures of course.
