Well it was over. My last ever National Night. It was Italian National night. It was pretty sad knowing that you would never ever be participating in like events ever again. But one can feel the age creeping up as well. Although I was in a mind-boggling six events, I was already feeling very tired with the practices and could not even keep up to be in the faster paced acts like dancing...talking about fatigue during dancing....clubbing is becoming a very big drag....too tired to go on till 4 in the morning.......maybe that is age.

After the National Night, ParkyBear and I took a walk across Royal Park to have some late night kebabs. On the way we did talk a lot again..about serious stuff...and phew am I glad to have met him. A very great friend..Who says you cannot have great Australian friends ? You can and I can. I have a few in fact. And they are as great as my Malaysian friends...or Hongkie friends maybe..the main point is that race does not matter when you are friends....why has the world not figured this out yet ?

"Time is precious and it's slipping away" just played on my speakers.....a very fitting phrase indeed. Sad and very true. I just had a thought....if I had not met the friends who I have met in my time in Melbourne, would I be a very a different person ? I think so. I have learnt and experienced so much here....so much...that I would indeed be a very different person if I had studied in another place or if I had stayed at home. The experience here has been priceless........

I also had another thought just now. Is it love when you allow the one you love to be free and have their own life and own loves...that you let them go and not try to hinder their journey forward ? Then maybe I have loved after all. And when you think about it...maybe it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. I hope you have a real good life and please keep in touch because I WILL miss you a lot.

I will miss lots of things when I go home. The great friends, the great restaurants..the great times....Sometimes I wish I never had to go home. And then I think of the new great wonderful exciting adventures I will have back home. It might be self consoling....but I always try to be positive, don't I. And I just realise...this is my way of saying goodbye to Melbourne. By looking forward to a new life and hoping to come back for a visit someday. But nothing can ever be the same again in the future can it ?


And maybe I just want to be remembered as a good friend. Or at least someone who has brought some cheer in your life. Made you laugh, looked after you when you were sick..had fun times or sad together, talked about the future with, ate with, discovered new things with, danced with, sang with, had experiences together, picnicked together, watched movies with......

Might tear...

But it was great fun. And maybe I might not be as cute as this photo here. But I'd like to try.... :)

My favourite dresses belonged to NiqBear, RoxBear and SherBear. Slim classic and elegant.

EsthBear, RaeBear, XXBear and JinBear had more mature gowns while KathBear's is a puffball of sweetness. Very suitable I must say.

And here we have the guys of course. KanBear, Me..FredBear, SoBear and KenBear. All looking very good. Note very stylish shirt on KanBear and KenBear's elegant suit. SoBear's hairstyle deserves a mention.

Lol. CherryBear described him as terrifying. I think he was a tiny bit smashed and he was asking a lot of questions. Do not know for sure. I was not there at the time.

And the best part of any ball. This is the whole gang. The people that matter very much to me in Melbourne.

With the exception of LuciBear and WoobyBear who are not here.

What a way to celebrate the hundredth post of this blog.

MY PHONE IS A VEGETABLE.

That said...it just means that my mobile is not dead. Just that it is a living vegetable. The screen cracked in an accident...and now I have this mega purple blob in the middle of the screen. I can still make and receive calls...but beware....I can hardly read any messages..Anyway....so other than making calls...and receiving...the phone is screwed....

Arghhhhhhh

I NEED A NEW PHONE.

I HAVE NO MONEY FOR IT..

On the other hand, I am still receiving some birthday presents. Got another pink shirt...LOL...but this is nice...and a poker set complete with chips and cards and stuff.. Thanks guys.

Who would have thought that the ball could be so fun ? And other things as well ? It has been an eventful week with lots of fun and frolic as well as all things melancholic...mostly...

Practising hard for Italian National Night performances now....singing the national anthem as well as teaming up with ParkyBear and HarvBear to perform Josh Groban's Gira Con Me....hopefully it will sound alrite !

Last night was great ! The best ball venue by far that I have ever been to. Incidentally, it was the Monash International Students' Ball. By surprise met JamesBear there. Never thought I would see him again. I certainly have not seen him for a year. Anyway...the venue was great....very grand.....it was the Park Hyatt.... :)

Performances during the ball was good. The lucky draw prizes were great too....televisions, stay at the Hyatt....Ipods....wow...Very many beautiful people there...mostly by now elegant simple dresses not like back in college or high school although there were still some very tacky gowns...guys as usual...suits...I swear the best thing about balls is you get to dress up and take pictures !

Main meal was a very nice grilled chicken with mash...and the appetizer was a great salmon toast with cucumber and yoghurt. Dessert however was yummy. It was almost a mix between tiramisu and ice cream cake with pears and some ice cream. Amazing. The best thing..the whole group was there....even KenBear and KanBear.. !! Only two missing....WoobyBear and LuciBear. Due to earlier commitments of course. Pictures later.

Then we went to the TCC house to celebrate EsthBear's birthday. She is 22 ! Then we had a really wonderful group picture before going off to Next Blue for the afterparty. I swear...I will never go back again...there had to be a reason I have not been there....I found it...the worst ventilation in a club ever ! It was extremely smoky and dark and very sticky too....unless you were in a VIP room..it would not be fun at all.

Anyway back home around three and was playing poker with FredBear in the lounge. And fell asleep..although was meant to go karaoke...everyone was bummed. Tired, homework were some reasons. Also, many were on training for soccer and basketball. Anyway, after some foos, had a real study session and actually accomplished quite a few things ! Quite proud of that...has almost given me the night off.

The play went well. Although I am just props manager again, I must say this time the job is slightly more demanding and would never have been successful without HuiBear...and to some extent ChrisBear. The play this time is Othello and although meant to be a tragedy, is now somewhat of a comedy, due to poor acting, loss of memory on stage....sick actors, in fact everything that can happen has happened. Luckily the audience just finds everything funny. I think the idea of having subtitles as to what the characters actually say in Shakespearean is actually very good. This way even if you cannot understand the actors, you can read.

I actually have a 15 % exam tomorrow...stress... oh well tell you guys something funny. Anyway, during the holidays and recent times, I have taken some new photos...and changed the pic on my friendster. Imagine my surprise and to some extent horror when I get messages from 8 people (and counting) so far wanting to be my friend..all girls of course. Excerpts from their messages include.....0_O you look so cute !! and "are you some korean boy ?" ....I laugh. And I wonder. Whoa.... Cool. More on that next time.

On this topic. Recently I have met a girl. She is from China. Anyway, cut a long story short....we got closer, we are going to the ball together, spent a lot of time talking..and playing table tennis and shopping....friends commented how fast we were going...it was true....only in the space of a few days...I think we spent more than 20 hours together...I do not think I have ever gotten to know someone so well so fast. Anyway....I find now that I am bored. Why ? I do not know. One popular theory brought up was just that...after FredBear got together with SherBear, I felt bored and just found someone. It might be true. I was feeling a bit lonely. However, it really was not random. I really did think that something might have happened. I got long talks and lectures from a few friends and I think...(I hope) after a few days of stressing out...and depressed moments...and lots of rationalising....I will not pursue...the matter. It is after all...not fated....different countries...and me graduating and all that... but it was nice to have the feeling all over again....the feeling of being in high school and when you can just fall suddenly into the pit of love.....not-caring...and all so sudden.....so deep....so emotional....until you think like an adult...

Being 21 now...is a reality and I do think in some parts that it has changed me.... Yea I am admitting this...me who is always so sceptical about all coming of age..stories and ceremonies....but well time does catch up with someone. I feel infintely lucky however...that I am not at all bored of life....and in fact....very much excited about what is going to happen.

Sad....but excited !!

It has been a very tumultous weekend by which I mean that lots of things have happened regarding certain things and certain people. However I also got lots of exercise this weekend which must have been great. And then struggled but succeeded in getting my homework back on track...almost...

Interestingly, I got star of the week for bowling due to my 175 score last week but then I did not even make my average for two games....this week...I have to improve, I have to....but then again...I have improved a lot in a way, moving from the 10 ball to the 14 ball now...I think I will play lots in Malaysia...so much cheaper there...

On Sunday there was the GM...good and short and before that went to a new Penang food place on Russell with SoBear and RaeBear.....had bak kut teh...erm..not bad....but then it is not like I miss it a lot...so I will not rave about it or anything...

Had some cool pictures of myself snapped with a Polaroid hanging on a wall now...I think I photograph better now too...am also in an online competition where you get voted on....I think I am not doing too bad...right ? I would ask you guys to vote too..but then it is shy....I would rather people I did not know...

The IH play is on this weekend and I am in charge of backstage....Although not too many props...but lots of moving....STRESS.....plus PBL exam on Friday....not to mention the ball next week and the exams the week after that..and I am pretty sure I have assignments due then as well.....oops...and Debating is on. Why do I ever get involved in all this.. ? I was just telling myself that I should not mix too well with freshers this year since I will have to spend so much time with them and it will just be so sad to leave them at the end of the year....but I found myself just drawn to them...and it is really nice to be friends with them too....Now it is going to be really sad... :)

Especially the new younger generation family that has been created...I am soooo tired now but I do not think will be as tired as ParkyBear or TasBear who are in charge of the play...Oh well...meeting AlanBear for lunch tomorrow because have not seen him for so long...wonder how is he....oh well...need to sleep now....zzzz

Stress = pimple on my nose for the first time in 6 years...it is so terrible ... feels like I am back in high school when I was vulnerable and powerless against everything... !

BUT I AM STRONG AND I WILL NOT GIVE IN ~!~!~!~!~!

Whoa....so many many things have happened since I last blogged and it is quite unbelievable...The gang and I are going for a ball...it is the Monash Ball and is definitely going to be the last time that we all dress up for a function together....Also I have my first test coming up next week so must study !! And then there is the play next week and debating starts next week and then Italian National Night is coming up and then the two GMs...and then the auditing of accounts..and the cleaning of Student Club Room...it is neverending....plus cherry....

Finally got some food into the apartment today...at least will not starve when studying !!

Plus FredBear and SherBear are now officially going out ! Hooray....talk about matchmaking...but then again maybe it has nothing whatsoever to do with my efforts...known or otherwise... !

Oh yea...did I mention River Cruise ! Lol a load of fun !

Yesterday..I went on the river cruise again. I figured it was going to be my last river cruise right...so why not...and it was a fun one anyway...because the theme was uniforms so I had to dress up as well....since I could not be bothered to actually have a proper uniform, I just (sort of) wore school uniform. But the effort taken by many others were great ! There were firemen, nurses, pilots, lawn bowlers, taekwondo fighters, policewomen and a whole bunch of japanese schoolgirls....!

It was a GREAT night....without going into a lot of details....

One interesting thing that happened that night was that certain people got involved with certain other people and then scuffles broke out but it was not that serious in the end anyway. Mostly misunderstandings but then again..these things happened when people get trashed right ?
A fresher JamesBear then commented that now he knew why rumours always fly around IH.... I guess it is sort of an orientation of how things work in college...haha

IzyBear and JeanBear brought me home and then I had to wake up the next morning too...but somehow at around six AM I almost went to the loo without my pants on and I think I scared XXBear's friend who was staying the night. But I expected to see no one and therefore was not very cautious ! Oops !

Then I had to go play football for IH again. It was my third game and this time I played all four quarters....It is very tiring. I think you must be superfit to play football. I am talking about AFL football of course...not soccer. Although I still a had a jarred right thumb, and everything was woozy....everyone else was not in a very good shape either...but I think I played my best game.... (namely, I did more on the field then I ever did before)....so it was good fun.

Then off to a picnic at the Botanical Gardens ! Almost everyone from the gang was there ! It was very good fun with loads of food, and I also brought a football and a cricket bat so we had some games as well. Then bridge games were also going on around the picnic mats... It was like a party and I know that many people were envious at the spread we had. Pizza, sandwiches, brownies, cookies, cake, puffs, sausage rolls, nuggets....it was great !

Later, travelled to JinBear's house to try out the new Singstar games...on PS2... If you do not know what it is..it is like singing karaoke but then you have to hit the right notes and then you get points so that you can battle with your friend ! I think I sang for almost two hours !!
Then I played French Open tennis with SoBear till about 10. I am IMPROVING !!
Now I can get 2 sets off him.

What a busy day !!
