Massage 1 : Huong Sen Hotel. Went alone to this big old hotel on a corner. Went up to the 7th floor and was greeted with a oldish locker room with wooden lockers. Dodgy ! ! But, braved self, stripped and went on. Massage itself was good, and could have gone into hot bath for a little more money. Pressure was good, and the experience itself was alright. Felt a bit cheated as later found out that massages should not cost that much, but was actually cheap compared to Malaysia for the service. Was clean, and bed was comfortable. Cost : USD30. Will probably not come here again.

Massage 2 : His Salon. Accompanied MrNM for a haircut at an exclusive men's salon and was surprised that they offered massages as well. Did a half hour head massage but in fact included shoulders, back, arms and chest as well. Was alright, except done with clothes on, and in front of television, sitting up, so was a little uncomfortable. Also, was done in the hall area, where people were getting hair cut, so not too private at all. Nevertheless, felt great after the head massage which though mussed up my hair, was very soothing. Cost : USD10. Mm. Stick to real massage places for a massage next time.

Massage 3 : Saigon Star Hotel. After a night of karaoke with the whole department went to Saigon Star hotel for a massage. Was touted as top notch and proved to be so. At top floor of a hotel, with hotel rooms for massage rooms, was treated to tea, before led to steam bath and spa. Was brought to a huge room with magnificient view of the city. Beheld bars on the ceiling and realised that it was for the masseuse to hold on to when standing up. Also lots of mirrors in the room, full length as well as normal sized. Stripped and was given a great massage. Wonderful pressure, although was a bit talkative I felt, as I usually liked quiet massages. Nevertheless, felt like a skating rink when she skated around on my back. Felt good though. Though am very glad that was told that I was the cutest customer of the night and had my dimples counted. (If I had any....). Anyway, were all ruses to get a tip, which I must say worked. Flattery gets you everywhere. I think I got conned. But still, massage was ridiculously cheap as Cost : USD20. Ridiculously cheap for the view and the room. Definitely a place to return to.

Massage 4 : Jasmine Massage. Probably the best of the lot. Saw it in a magazine and booked an appointment for after work. Was welcomed with hot tea and candy. Was led into a room as big as my bedroom and as equipped as the Beaubelle ones at Starhill. Stripped and was lying peacefully on the bed when felt hot liquid on my legs. And then it travelled all the way up. Felt like it was hot wax and actually looked around to see what was happening. It was some black paste with berries and flowers and was being applied with a big brush. Felt like a piece of meat about to be marinated. Marination went on and on, with a big brush poking everywhere to make sure the meat was well coated all over. And then turned around to make sure the front was well plastered as well. Then the most surprising thing of all ! Was wrapped in a huge sheet of plastic like sheet and left to marinate for real ! Seriously, I felt like a giant rice paper roll, or rather I was a big piece of meat plastered with marinade and vegetables, in a rice paper roll, and was being left on the plate, while the oil was heated to fry me into a giant spring roll. There was some chemical reaction and soon it began to feel hot, and I felt really drowsy. But then was woken up, and at first thought was gonna be fried, but was told to wash off in a shower in the room and was wiped off, and then stepped into the steaming jacuzzi. Almost fell asleep again and then was given a really nice towelling off, and then back to the bed. Well and truly pampered with a hot stone massage, and then some aromatherapy oil. Felt like a kitten, in a basket. Was really sorry to find out when it was over. Was clothed, and this is the first place I have been to in all my life, where they towel you off, and take off and put on your clothes for you. Real pampering. Cost : USD35. Most expensive massage but also most pampering and also lasted almost 90 minutes. Will come again, maybe once more.

Ahhh. Feel all comfortable. Massage is really good to relieve stress and be pampered. Feel like going for a facial too.........just once.
