| Monday, February 05, 2007 Back in Malaysia after two months, the weather did not feel too different. Or am I just lucky that it was not a very sunny day today ? Unpacking was shit, but luckily most of it was clothes and more clothes so they all needed to be washed anyway. Will be spending my morning cleaning up, unpacking, getting the mail read, some small stuff and see if I will meet up with JeanBear, JinBear and RoxBear. But before that have to make a trip to see the dry cleaners as well as to get a top up card because now my phone is dead. Flight back was just as comfortable and I spent most of the time sleeping when I was not eating. Seriously, people who say that plane food is not good, just have not been eating food in business class. The food was YUMMY. There was garlic bread with smoked chicken breast as well as some very good satay. Drinks just kept on coming and the choice was great. Only thing was I sat next to this small kid of 8 who yap yap yap all the way. But he was cute. His name was Lucas and his baby brother's name is Marcus. Lol. There were also 2 babies in my row of 7 so there was quite a lot of excitement. I guess it was lucky that I was dead tired from the activities the night before so I could fall asleep quite easily. On Saturday, after some last minute shopping, most of us plus the boss went for a karaoke at this place called Cashbox. It was my 3rd time. Speaking of which, I sang karaoke about 6 times here so ALMOST once a week. Anyway, I really love cashbox because it has such nice design, and it is more like a 6 star hotel than a karaoke joint. There are wide marble staircases to the rooms, and there is a grand piano with performances. Even the food is fantastic. They have great food as well as instantly prepared food for you, like fried eggs with ham, curried udon, BBQ, Steamboat, Biscuits, Cakes, the choice is endless. It is worth it just to come for the food. So we sang from one to about nine. After which myself and three others went to this little cafe again to play 80 points. It was the same cafe as last time. And if you do not know already, 80 points is a card game played in Shanghai which is a little like bridge. Only with a lot more strategy and skill than bridge I think. We played the whole night until 7 am. Talked and ate some food along the way. After that was sooooo tired but it was so much fun. Call it my new addiction while in Shanghai. Then after I went home still had to pack. Cleaned up the fridge and ate a Magnum for breakfast. But I had to leave behind a bottle of soy sauce, 24 dumplings, 2 oranges, a bottle of Pepsi, 3 apples, half a packet of vermicelli, and 2 Roti Phrata. Also left behind all the hangers and other random stuff I collected. So that is it. The 2 month Shanghai adventure is finally over. What happens next ? Will be exciting to find out. But I guess I will be satisfied if anything new only happens after CNY. After all, there are lots of people to play mahjong now !!!! |
